Role of the Division
The Division Health Information, Planning & Infrastructure is responsible for the overall development of collating health information and promoting appropriate research for the National Health Service, an increased role in Health Workforce Planning, Health Services Financing, Budget and Resource Allocation.
This Division is also responsible for assisting Divisional Health Services and Programme Managers to develop policies in their specialized areas. Other responsibilities of the Division include writing of the Annual Health Report and Health Status Report.
It plays a vital in role in the compilation and analysis health statistics and epidemiological data and management of the information system (software) and also purchase and maintenance of hardware. The Division has full responsibilities for Infrastructure development, assessment of capital projects and minor projects.
The three functional Unit of the Division carries out all these responsibilities as follows:
