Health Reform Project
This Health
Management Reform Project (FHMRP) is designed to improve the
management of the Ministry of Health by decentralising
it management operation to Divisions and by providing training
in the management of health services and the maintenance of
equipment and infrastructure. This is a five year programme
commenced in February,1999.
Taveuni Rural and Community Health Project
The Tavueni
Rural and Community Health Project aims to improve the overall
health of the population of Tavueni through the development
of an integrated community health service. This is a 5 year
project which commenced in 1999 and completes in the year 2004.
Pediatric Unit at CWM Hospital
The construction of the New Paediatric
Unit is funded by the Government of Japan.
The project aims to get all paediatrics
services provided under the same roof with all necessary services
provided therein or more accessible than currently and the same
paediatric team able to provide services without running around
the hospital. With the completion of this project a better paediatric
service provision will be available at the paediatric hospital
and health status of children will improve greatly.
Trilateral
Health Promotion Project
This
programme was jointly funded by the Australian, Japanese and
Fiji Government.
This project was to establish the National Centre for Health
Promotion and one of the key component was to strengthen the
health promotion capacity of the NCHP and of the Primary and
Preventive Health Care services.
