PROSTHESIS BREAST

The Ministry of Health and Medical Services wish to advise the general public that from 11.09.2015 to 16.09.2015 a team from Australia will be distributing prostheses for breast cancer patients.

The objectives for this program are to:

provide financial support towards the costs of external breast prostheses for women who have

undergone a mastectomy as a result of breast cancer

improve the quality of life of women who have undergone a mastectomy as a result of breast

cancer.

Your false breast

If you have had the whole breast removed (a mastectomy) many types of artificial breast shapes are available free from the visiting team from Australia. Your artificial breast shape sits inside your bra. Women who have had part of a breast removed can use a partial prosthesis.
