Colonial War Memorial Hospital (CWMH)

The Colonial War Memorial Hospital (CWMH) is Fiji’s largest and oldest public hospital, serving as the country’s primary tertiary referral centre and a central pillar of the national health system. Established in 1923, CWMH provides comprehensive specialist, emergency, and inpatient services to communities across Fiji and the wider Pacific region.
As a national teaching hospital, CWMH works closely with the Fiji National University’s College of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences, supporting the training of doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals. The hospital is also a key site for clinical research, specialist attachments, and postgraduate medical education.
